13 'Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it.
14 But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.
15 "Watch out for false prophets. They come to you in Sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ferocous wolves.
16 By their fruit you will recognize them. Do people pick grapes from thornbushes, or figs from thistles?
17 Likewise every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit.
18 A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, and a bad tree cannot bear good fruit.
19 Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire.
20 thus, by their fruit you will cregnize them.

하나님 나라, 즉 생명으로 가는 문은 작고 그 길이 좁아 그 곳을 찾는 사람이 적다고 한다. 눈으로만 봐서는 보이지 않으니 말이다. 그 문을 구하고 찾고 두드리면 열린다고 했으나 잘못된 문 앞에서 울부짖고 있을 수 있다는 얘기다. 그래서 거짓 선지자, 지금은 거짓 목회자들을 조심해야 한다. 어떻게 거짓 목회자를 구별할지도 말씀하신다. 그들의 열매를 보고 그들을 알 것이다. 풍성한 열매가 맺어져 있는 대형교회로 많은 이들이 몰린다. 지금도 점점 더 커져가는 것은 대형교회들이다. 열매가 많으면 또 벌레도 많고 쉽게 번져 썩어나가기도 쉽다. 얼마나 면역력이 좋게 건강하게 열매들이 수확 되고 있는지는 스스로 알 것 이다.
한편 좋은 열매를 맺지 못하는 나무는 모두 잘려서 불 속에 던져진다고 한다. 열매가 없이 자라지 못하고 썩어가는 나무는 어떻게 해야할까? 믿음으로 끝까지 그 자리를 지키면 언젠가는 좋은 비료와 날씨로 풍성한 열매가 맺어질까? 그 시간은 아무도 판단하지 못한다. 분명한 것은 네 믿은 대로 될 지어다라는 말씀에 능력이 있다.
